Pickleball Tournament @ Ridgefield Recreation Center8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Ridgefield Parks & Recreation is a proud sponsor of the Third Annual Pickleball Tournament on May 22 and May 23. This tournament will include: singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Players in 30-39 and 40-49 age groups are eligible to participate, and participants ages 50 or over will be grouped in 5 year age divisions.
The entry fee is $35 per person with check-in beginning at 8:00 am and play beginning at 9:00 am. An awards ceremony including pizza and music will be held after the games on May 23rd. First, second, and third place winners of the tournament who are 50 years old or older will qualify for 2014 National Games in Cleveland, Ohio. Now that it’s spring, we want to help you get you into shape. We’re offering FREE SPIN® classes in May. Yes, that’s right! You can take a Wednesday (5:30-6:30 pm only) SPIN® class for free. It’ll be offered:
- May 1: 5:30-6:30 pm
- May 8: 5:30-6:30 pm
- May 15: 5:30-6:30 pm
- May 22: 5:30-6:30 pm
- May 29: 5:30-6:30 pm
Call 203.431.2755 to reserve your spot. Reservations are only taken within 24 hours of each class. Enjoy!

“For the Love of Dance” Dance Recital @ Ridgefield High School6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The Mac Donald-Pin Dancers are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Come and celebrate at the “For the Love of Dance” Dance Recital at the Ridgefield High School Auditorium. More than 250 dancers (ages 3-75) from Ridgefield and surrounding towns will be performing in each show. The performances will feature a variety of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical dances. The Mac Donald-Pin Dancers have been teaching classes at the Ridgefield Recreation Center for the past 40 years. This yearly recital is the culmination of hard work and dedication put forth throughout the year from our dance students from beginners to advanced dancers.
Tickets are available at the door for $15. Shows include:
- June 1: 6:30 pm
- June 2: 1:30 pm
