Rules & Regulations

These rules are for the benefit of all patrons using Martin Park Beach to ensure a safe and enjoyable summer. The staff wishes to thank you for your consideration in this matter.

  1. Non-swimmers and swimmers using flotation devices (except Coast Guard approved life vests) are not permitted to go to the dock. Swimmers with lifejackets may go to the dock; however they must swim on their own and be accompanied by an adult.
  2. No flips or back dives are allowed off the docks.
  3. Anything inflatable is not allowed in the water.
  4. No throwing of sand, rocks or any type of objects.
  5. The use of disposable or cloth diapers in the water is prohibited. The 3 Layers of Protection rules apply; disposable swim diaper, tight fitting swim diaper cover and bathing suit.
  6. Diapers must be changed in the bathhouse, not on the beach area and MUST be disposed of in trash cans.
  7. No food allowed in the water.
  8. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
  9. No glass containers of any type are permitted.
  10. No littering. Please use the trash and recycling receptacles.
  11. No animals (dogs, horses, etc.) are permitted.
  12. Smoking is ONLY permitted in the parking lot.
  13. No unauthorized vehicles are allowed beyond the parking lot.
  14. Boating and fishing are prohibited within the marked areas.
  15. Please observe and comply with the “Beach Closed” and the “Water Closed” signs when applicable.
